As well as writing for teens, SYLVIA HALL is a journalist whose work included a column for the Guardian when she was living in the States. She has taught speech and drama and was recently involved in staging a musical in Qatar. She and her husband, who was in the rock business, are custodians of John Lennon's house in Liverpool. They also have a house in Derbyshire.
