The Abandoned Puppy

Description

Zoe is thrilled to be helping out at her Auntie Jo's animal shelter over the Easter holidays. But she doesn't expect to come across a box on the steps of the shelter containing three tiny abandoned puppies. It's touch and go for the littlest pup, whom Zoe names Cookie. Over the next few weeks, Zoe takes special care of Cookie and a close bond is formed between the two of them. But how will Zoe cope when it comes for the puppies to be rehomed?

Holly Webb lives in Berkshire with her husband, three children, and two cats. She started writing eight years ago while working as a children's books editor. She now writes full-time, and has written over sixty books including the Animal Stories and My Naughty Little Puppy series for Stripes Publishing. In 2012 she wrote The Clever Little Kitten for World Book Day. Sophy Williams took a degree in graphic art at Kingston and was runner-up in the Reader's Digest Young Illustrators Competition. Her first illustrated book, When Grandma Came, was runner-up for the Mother Goose Award.
